This is my first row. Navy and brights. I was going to go Amish but decided to veer slightly away from that by using navy. I'm using the colours as my theme.

Love the colours, you could probably get away with it still being "amish" as not all amish quilts used black or other sombre colours...are the coloured fabrics hand-dyed fabrics, they certainly are lovely and bright. I like strong colour combinations myself, I am looking forward to working with these colours.
No, the coloured fabrics are straight off the shelf. The blue and red are sort of self-patterned, the green has splodges of different shades of green and a bit of gold in it (piccie doesn't pick up the detail) and the mustard gold has a tree pattern all over it. Being such narrow pieces I don't think you can pick up the detail very well.
